Bournemouth is a town of over 165,000 inhabitants and is the major south coast resort of England with 10 kilometres of beautiful beaches. The town has a cosmopolitan atmosphere and is frequented by students of all nationalities. Adding to the town's attractions are the surrounding places of interest - the Purbeck Hills to the west, the Dorset villages to the north and the New Forest to the east. Despite all this pollution free countryside, the town is only 95 minutes by train (160 kilometres) from central London.
