Introduction

St. Giles Eastbourneis located 10 minutes walk from the town centre of Eastbourne. Eastbourne is a popular coastal resort, known as the sunniest on the south coast. It is a safe, peaceful location and is situated at the foot of the South Downs, an area of outstanding natural beauty. The town itself has a wide range of shopping, sporting and entertainment facilities. It is 90 minutes by train from London, and 50 minutes by train from Gatwick Airport.

The College is housed in an elegant building in spacious grounds with fine gardens and a heated swimming pool. It is only 100 metres from the most attractive beaches in the town, and the famous white cliffs of Beachy Head are nearby.

The College provides a choice of computer, video/DVD and digital language laboratory facilities. Students have e-mail and Internet access, and the well-stocked College library provides an area for quiet study. The College canteen opens on to the gardens.

The College is long-established and has considerable experience in English-language teaching. The College has a team of experienced and qualified staff, and there is a friendly and enjoyable College atmosphere with a serious attitude towards language learning. The College adopts a learner-centred approach and offers regular counselling and help with individual learning problems. The College offers a wide range of courses, including General English, Cambridge examination preparation, IELTS preparation, General English plus Business or Tourism, and courses for overseas teachers of English.
