    Established: 1953


International House was founded by John and Brita Haycraft in 1953. It has grown into a worldwide organization of over 120 schools in more than 30 countries with International House London as the headquarters of the organization. The school is located in the heart of London just five minutes walk from the nearest underground station. Students from over 100 countries come to study at International House London ?and this results in a great, multicultural classroom atmosphere. The school has 50 air-conditioned classrooms, a language lab, over 20 computers with free internet and email access all day, a bookshop and a cafe?


London is the capital city of England and has a population of 6 million. London is a major international tourist centre with many world famous attractions such as Buckingham Palace, London Bridge, the Houses of Parliament, Madame Tussauds wax museum, and Big Ben. International House London is situation in Picadilly ?which is in the heart of central London ?only ten minutes walk from Buckingham Palace. It is an exciting area of shops, restaurants, parks and luxury hotels. It is an excellent base for sightseeing, shopping, and visits to theatres, cinemas, museums, pubs and clubs.


All of our teachers are highly experienced and widely travelled - and have taught English around the world. As International House is also a teacher training centre we ensure that all our teachers use the newest and most effective teaching methods. Many of our teachers have written popular English teaching textbooks - such as "Headway" and "Cutting Edge".
