Introduction
Established in 1839, the University of Chester is one of the oldest higher education institutions in the country, and we offer a warm welcome to applicants from all parts of the world. With 15,000 students from 130 countries worldwide, The University of Chester provides a vibrant, diverse and safe home for international students - currently ranked Second-Best for International Students amongst 143 universities in the UK (WUSCA 2020). The University, based on several campuses in Chester and a smaller campus in Warrington, offers a range of foundation, undergraduate and postgraduate courses, as well as undertaking academic research. The 32-acre (130,000 m2) main campus is located on Parkgate Road, just north of the City Walls in Chester. It has a mixture of Victorian buildings and modern buildings. The campus also features a fitness centre, sports hall, swimming pool, science and language laboratories, bar and various shops.
